I graduated in 2001 with a thesis on Biofeedback and phobia at the sight of blood, in the following year I worked at the Swedish University of Uppsala as visiting research, comparing the posttraumatic reactions of Italian and Swedish family members involved in the Linate air disaster. Upon my return to Italy I specialized in Cognitive Behavioral Psychotherapy and for sixteen years I worked at the Briolini Hospital (Gazzaniga, Bergamo) for the European Biomedical Research Foundation, as Neuropsychologist and Psychotherapist. In particular, I was involved in testing assessments in elderly patients with dementia, and psychotherapeutic support to their families.
In 2009 I also engaged in freelance practice in Brescia, where I live, using the third-generation behavioral approach, known as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). I also make extensive use of Mindfulness associated with Biofeedback.
Since 2012 I have been teaching at the cognitive-behavioral specialization school AcaBS (Academy of Behavioral Sciences), based in Reggio Emilia, Brescia, Trento and Giulianova, and since 2020 at the School of Integrated Psychotherapy (SPI) in Bergamo and Milan.
To further the study of ACT, I edited and translated with Roberto Anchisi the volume "Psychological disorders and cognitive-behavioral therapy. Third-generation clinical models and interventions," published by Franco Angeli in 2016. I have co-authored scientific articles published in international journals in the neurological and clinical fields and am a member of the Association for Behavior Analysys International (ABAI).
From 2022 and 2023, I worked at ASST Spedali Civili di Brescia - IIa Neurology with the title of executive freelance psychologist.
Since 2021 I have held a position at the Hospice of Calcinate (BG), within a multidisciplinary team with the aim of offering an integrated response to the patient's pain and that of their families.
From 2023 new freelance appointment at the Department of Mental Health of the Spedali Civili of Brescia.
